Please Let Me Know When You Get Here (2010)

Custom Arduino code, computer monitor, sonar sensor, directional speaker

'Please Let Me Know When You Get Here' was an installation set-up within the Pinkard Gallery of the Maryland Institute College of Art and a part of the first year graduate candidate exhibition.

Using Processing scripts and Arduino hardware the space was created as a critique of representation through the ephemerally aggressive media. Any participant who engages with the space is monitored and rendered within a different part of the space where they become a performer. The engagement is created once the participant activates the sensor that leads to the audio portion of the piece.

Maury Show (2010)

Digital Video

A video piece conveying the sense of alienation of millenials by older generations and the media.

A TV monitor is on a pedestal. The image on the screen is a silhouette of a person sitting on a couch and TV static fills the figure. Headphones hang on the pedestal.A TV monitor is on a pedestal within a white walled gallery setting. Meant for More (2008)

Digital Video

This piece was a way to convey the apathetic nature of Generation Y with the advent of technology overtaking their reality against other people. Visually the static was suppose to represent an infection while the usage of stop-motion was an aesthetic to relate time slipping away.
